Our big Boston FAM trip

Aviate x Delta Air Lines FAM trip to Boston

Our Aviate and Delta Air Lines #BigInBoston FAM trip.

Last week, from 9 May until 12 May Aviate hosted a FAM trip to Boston in partnership with Delta Air Lines and Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor. Our Sales Manager, Rachel and Marketing Executive, Ella hosted eight of our top travel agent partners for four days in the sporty, pretty city of Boston. This is what our hosts had to say about the trip.

‘We flew in Delta Comfort+® to Boston from London Heathrow. The extra legroom and spacious seating paired with plentiful amounts of food and entertainment made our flight time seem minimal.

Upon arrival in Boston, Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor escorted us to our home for the next few days. We dropped our bags, enjoyed the view, freshened up and headed out. We first walked past the state house, through Boston Common before arriving at the famous Cheers Bar for a drink. We then went for dinner on Charles Street, a quaint area near Boston Common.

Our second day, we had a hosted breakfast at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor and met a lot of the staff who were looking after us during our stay. The food was great, and the view was even better. We then got a water taxi across the harbor to our whale watch tour. This was a four-hour excursion on rather choppy waters.  We saw several humpback whales whilst on our trip which was amazing, we all enjoyed the trip. A great day and a memorable story.

Later in the day we headed to Harvard Square and Harvard University. We walked through the gardens and historical university buildings before grabbing a bite of lunch and a quick shop to get some Harvard University merchandise.

In the evening we went to Top of the Hub, a bar and restaurant with a panoramic view of the city of Boston. We had some cocktails whilst watching the sunset over the city, we had a great view of the Red Sox stadium from here. Once we finished our cocktails, we went for dinner down the street at Capital Grille.

Saturday was all about the Red Sox. We went on a tour of Fenway Park to find out about some of the history and walk around the stadium. We then went for brunch at a nearby sports bar before the baseball game started at 1pm. We all bought some Red Sox merchandise and got in the spirit of the game. Three and a half hours later and the Red Sox beat the Seattle Mariners 9 Home Runs to 5.

In the evening we went for dinner in Cambridge, a small restaurant alongside the Charles River with another great view of the city.

Our final day in Boston, we went on a bike tour around the city. A 10-mile bike ride seeing plenty of historic sites. A very interesting and informative day, we were able to cover a good area of the city whilst on this tour. After our cycle had finished we went for lunch and to warm up in a local restaurant with the ‘best clam chowder in the city’.

We went back to our hotel to pack up and head for the airport. Our hotel took us to our terminal and we breezed through Premium check in, meaning we shortly made our way through the airport and boarded the plane to our Delta Comfort+® seats. Our 6-hour night flight back to London Heathrow was very pleasant; good food and comfy seats.

Our wonderful group made our FAM trip more like a holiday – excellent company, great activities and lots of food. What more could you ask for?’

From all of us at Aviate we just want to say thank you to Delta Air Lines, Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor and our attendees for making this trip a success.
