Qantas announces new First Lounge for London

We're pleased to share this exciting new update from our partners at Qantas:

Qantas is excited to announce plans to significantly enhance the network of lounges overseas and in Australia, elevating the pre-flight and transit travel experience for our customers.

The $100-million investment will bring a new level of luxury at key destinations and features four brand new lounges, including a new flagship First Lounge at London’s Heathrow Airport.

Subject to agreement with Heathrow Airport and UK regulators, the luxury London First Lounge is expected to feature direct access to boarding gates, sweeping views of the airfield, a focus on wellbeing features and an unrivalled dining experience. 

London is one of the most important destinations on the Qantas network and it’s the perfect location for a First Lounge, with a targeted opening date to align with our direct Project Sunrise flights to Sydney.

Heathrow is one of the world’s busiest airports, so we’ll be working with them to secure a space in the terminal for an additional lounge.

This is the single biggest investment in the award-winning lounge network in more than a decade and comes as they expand the Australian Domestic and International routes and begin to take delivery of next-generation aircraft.
