Sustainable Aviation Fuel
This year KLM became the world’s first airline to operate a passenger flight partly fuelled with sustainable synthetic kerosene. By replacing fossil fuel with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), they can reduce CO2 emissions by 85%. To achieve their climate ambitions, they intend to use 10% SAF by 2030.
