Singapore Airlines Suspends New Sales for VTL Flights into Singapore

With effect from 2359 Hrs (SGT) on 22 December 2021, Singapore Airlines will stop accepting new bookings for all Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) flights into Singapore that are scheduled between 23 December 2021 to 20 January 2022 (both dates inclusive).

This follows the Singapore government’s directive to suspend new ticket sales on designated VTL flights for entry into Singapore during this time.

Transit passengers are not affected by this directive. Passengers who wish to transit via Singapore on VTL flights during this period can continue to book flights.

Booking of Flights

New Bookings

Purchase of VTL flights for travel entering Singapore between 23 December 2021 to 20 January 2022 (both dates inclusive) is not allowed. During this period, only the following sales are allowed:

  1. All non-VTL flights for all travel periods
  2. All flights departing Singapore for all travel periods
  3. VTL flights for travel entering Singapore for travel outside the period

Existing Bookings

Passengers holding confirmed bookings prior to 2359 Hrs (SGT) 22 December 2021, can continue to be ticketed and can travel between 23 December 2021 to 20 January 2022 (both dates inclusive).

For tickets issued before 2359 Hrs (SGT) 22 December 2021, if there are any changes to the itinerary, Travel Agents are to:

  1. Update the booking reference (updated segments will not be automatically confirmed, but only waitlisted)

VTL Eligibility Criteria

There is no change to existing VTL or test requirements. Passengers with existing bookings may enter Singapore quarantine free as long as they meet all VTL requirements.
