Air Mauritius YQ increase
Air Mauritius no longer guarantees the YQ level from the booking/last voluntary amendment date. This applies to all bookings, regardless of booking date.
The carrier is increasing their YQ (fuel surcharge) on 1 April 2026 and again on 30 April 2026. Please see the below table to see the YQ increases from the existing YQ level of £156pp for a return LGW-MRU-LGW.

In order to avoid paying the increased YQ level, your booking(s) must be ticketed by 31 March 2026, or by the 29 April 2026 to avoid the second YQ increase.
If your passenger subsequently cancels, and you issued the Air Mauritius booking on or before 31 March to avoid the YQ increase, Air Mauritius will offer a full refund*.
* Refund must be applied more than 50 days before travel, for tickets issued on before 29 April 2026.
